i'm making presentation about srtidulation of such insects like grasshoppers and want to compare it with making chladni figures on vibrating metal plates (want to compare the resonator of insects with the plates). I need to make analysis of the sound of insect and of plate but don't how to make such an analysis (need a program, know some??)

Well see if you can get an ossciliscope and accually put a cricket in front of it. Depending on where you go to school and what level you are ( if your doing fourier analysis i'm guessing your at least in your later years in college) You should be able to hook up alot of the physics stuff to analyse these waves and graph them to analyse them. Use somthing like Mathlab or some of the physics dept software programs. I'm sure they will have somthing that will work.
