1. Jesus' Birthday is the main reason that anyone should celebrate Christmas, the word 'Christmas' is from a contraction of the term "Christ's Mass", so yes, this should be the most important reason to celebrate Christmas.
2. The giving of gifts should always be accompanied by remembrance of the gifts of the Magi, that is the reason that we give gifts at Christmas time.
3. As far as I am concerned, Santa Claus, in his original form, as a patron Saint who did good works, should be held up to children as a wonderful example of the true meaning of this wonderful holiday. The commercialism that is Christmas in our time has very little to do with the real meaning of this most Holy of Days (hence, the word 'holiday')
4. Sorry if I sound a little like 'Scrooge' or something, but it does really bug me that this wonderful holiday has been turned into a time for merchants to make money with no regard to what the holiday stands for!!!!

Once I thought it was a great time to enjoy, but so many family members have spoiled it by coming either drunk or high to the celebrations that it isn't the fun it once was.
Add to that all the expectation that come with the year, and sometimes I wished I worked retail just to say, I can't make it. Sorry.

I could really care less about getting gifts. I like to give them though. I like to have a good time with friends and family during the season, eat, drink and sing songs. Jesus has nothing to do with Yule.

Its the joy and thanksgiving to God, for sending his only son to earth to die instead of us because of our sins.

It is the happiness of knowledge that God is Still with us and he loves us very very much...^_^

Yours,
John...^_^

PS: hey, did you know that sin is EVERYTHING, that God isnt??

Scary huh?
