The ice age is true, wanna know why?
They found a 30,000 year old man frozen in the ice.
The flood happened before the dinosaurs were on earth, before man crawled out of the seas and took up residence on the continent of Africa, when the world was shaped like pangaea, one solid continent.

They are both real. The Flood caused the ice age.
In order to get all the ice at the poles you need very specific conditions. Right now there is very little precipitation near the poles so it is very hard to see how another ice age could occur.
Conditions after the flood were just right and caused the ice age.

The Bible was written by men. This makes it susceptible to incorrectness. Most of the Old Testament occurred before man learned to write. This means most of the stories were handed down thru the generations. This means the stories could have been altered with facts left out or facts made up. Also, earlier man did not understand many natural phenomena that we now take for granted. None of this makes the Bible wrong. Many stories and places in the Bible have been verified by science and historical fact.
The ice age is definitely fact as science can back that up. The so call "FLOOD" may be more story than fact. However, something catastrophic for the time did occur that caused the story to become told and written about in the Bible. It just may not have been global.
It is not wrong to ask questions. It is wrong to not seek the truth. That doesn't make you a bad Christian, it makes you an intelligent one. Accept your teachings and seek the truth, Always remember one thing tho - don't be afraid of the truth.

there are flood myths all around the region of the holy land. scientists figured out that about 11,000 years ago the Atlantic ocean wore away (eroded) the rock that was at the time blocking the strait of gibraltar. When the ocean started pouring through then we have the flood myth of the ancients. Apparently the water encroached on the land at a rate of a mile per day.

great question... alas there is no guarenteed correct answer.
your question assumes that everything is black and white.. very little in life is that simple and that is certainly true when you are talking about theories and religion
There is no doubt that there were ice ages...many of them actually..lasting different amounts of time and existing to varying degrees.
Likewise there have been many floods in geologic past..some of which humans no doubt experienced and were probably confused by. Question is then.. are the floods in the bible to be taken literally ? are they metaphores for reality or simply parables ?
Only you can decide (for yourself) were religion ends and science begins...

Who says they can't both be true? I don't believe the Bible mentions exaxtly when the earth was created and when the flood took place.
That's what faith is. I don't understand, but I believe it.
