I know a family secret, told to me by my Mother, involving my two brothers. It's potentially a life-altering whopper. We are all middle-aged adults now; Mom's 80. I have carried this burden for many years and feel that I should come clean with my brothers; my sisters don't think so. What do you think?

SOUNDS LIKE THIS COULD BE THE NEXT DAYTIME SOAP OPERA?? ALSO SOUNDS LIKE YOUR BROTHERS ARE NOT REALLY TRUE BLOOD. AND THAT IS A BIG BURDEN FOR YOU TO CARRY. THEY MIGHT NOT APPROVE OF YOU DOING THIS, BUT IF YOUR SISTERS KNOW, AND YOUR MOM KNOWS WHAT DOES SHE THINK YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO GO TO GRAVE WITH THIS INFORMATION? HOPEFULLY NOT, TALK TO YOUR MOM AND ASK IF YOU CAN TELL THEM, TELL HER IT IS EATING YOU UP INSIDE AND YOU CANNOT KEEP IT FROM THEM ANYMORE. GOOD LUCK!!!

It all depends on the problem/secret...
If this secret is torturing people, and you believe that bringing this up will set free burden, it might be the right thing to do.
One thing we forget as we age is that our elders aren't always right. What they do, the actions they've done, may not have been the best way to deal with something (since we've kind of built it into our brains that mom, or dad, is always right).
It's a judgment call on your part. In times like these where I'm standing in a fork in the road and both paths weigh out the same to me, I pray about it. But then again, it's just my thing. (That, and I don't ask God unless I really need advice).

Take from the wealthy and grants to the negative - the wealthy are literally negative (yet a negative which have experienced negative loss) and the negative are literally wealthy (a wealthy which have had a fortunate earnings which may create cocky reckless attitudes) by probability killing in self protection is yet another matter yet protecting by killing - no longer so good. Killing a mass assassin - you've stopped them from being bodily (interior the actual international) being punished

Ask yourself if the positions were reversed, would you want them to tell you? Also, will telling them improve their lives or hurt them? If the only reason you are thinking of telling them is to ease your personal burden but it would damage them or their family relationships and memories, then I say no. Find a shrink to tell, confess it to a priest, tell me, whatever, but if it won't help them, don't tell them.

Well if it's ok with your mother go for it.. But if it's not don't because your mom trusted to tell you and only you for a reason..
