i lived in Memphis for 18 years, it is a great city and has a lot to offer, Beale street, the theater and opera, the zoo is great, the downtown park is beautiful, the race way in millington 6 miles from downtown, any any great places to eat. the malls with ice skating, the people are the best for southern hospitality, the clubs are hot.... the casino's in tunica are great and only like 30-40 min away. so and have a ball and enjoy the city for it beauty and you will have the best time.

We just moved here in the spring and have found beale street, mud island (they have a great park there), you can check out the peabody ducks - you can go tour the roof and see where the ducks live when they're not 'working', plenty of places for bbq, there are mississippi river boat tours, the zoo is awesome, there's the pink palace muesem, st jude is in memphis and you can tour the hospital, there are duck boat tours, you can catch a grizzlies game or a University of Memphis b-ball game. Tunica is about 45 minutes from Memphis - there is a nice nature center there and a bunch of casinos/hotels there. There is always something going on at the agricenter international too.
Hope that helps some!!!
