I don't know why they put them there. I mean I hardly ever go to the post office so how would know who was bad or good. Shouldn't they put them in the grocery store, doesn't everyone HAVE to go shopping and would see them there?! Just a thought.

MOST WANTED signs are posted at Post Offices because they are also Federal buildings just like courthouses, and the more widespread the pictures are the more chances someone has seen the person.
Here's another good one for you -
You're standing at a four way stop - a fire truck, a police car, an ambulance, and a US Mail Truck all come to the stop AT THE SAME TIME, and the fire truck, police, and ambulance all have their flashers going.
WHO HAS THE RIGHT OF WAY FIRST??
According to Federal Law, it's the US Mail Truck.....

A lot of people go to the post office to buy stamps, stamped envelopes and to pick up and mail packages. Post offices are slow and people have time to stand around and read.

You're kidding right? Back in the pioneer days the only place the community came to regularly was the post office, it was also the only Federal entity. Maybe they should have put them up in saloons where people could judge the likenesses.

What did you get this from Seinfeld?
Think about it.
Who is constantly walking the streets during the day, coming in and out of businesses and other buildings?
That's right it is POSTAL WORKERS!!!!!
On top of it you ever been to a post office? How long do you stand in line.. what like an hour? What else is there to do but read the most wanted posters on the wall.

But when i'm t the post office, I am in such a hurry that I don't look at the signs. I just wanna get out of line.

Because the Post Office is a popular hangout for the criminal element. That's why they don't put them in the seedy part of town, it'd be too obvious. It's one of the little known facts of the underworld, and it's full of shady characters. Crooks, the lot of them. I mean...39 cents for a stamp! That is highway robbery!
