When you feed him make sure hes not laying flat down, thats how air bubbles get in there. Make sure he always burps after a feeding. And the gritty bird seed look? Thats normal.

Sorry kind of long, Our oldest had this problem. He actually had some reflux and was on meds for a bit. Then we figured out that if we only gave him 1-2 ounces at a time every 30 min. There was no spitting up. We also kept him upright as much as possible. This is where one of those saucer's really comes in handy or a little seat for them to exercise their legs. We carried this method into this eating as well. Only giving him small meals 5-6 times a day and he works it out by the time he was about 18 months, we were able to feed him normally. How he eats like a champ. When we started to feed him I have this great french Book. "Bebe Vege" anyway, gave me all kinds of recipes and ideas of what to feed him. I started with Zucchini and squashes and soft taskting veggies, later pears and peaches and apples and then more. Today, if you ask our 2 oldest what they want to eat for lunch, they will start off saying veggies with dip (dill dip is their favorite and then some type of meat and then fruits.) As far as formula we had our oldest on Infamil and a few other things, then ended up on Good Start (smallest protein easiest to digest) and that is where we stayed and they used that with both our other 2 boys. So far # 3 is still on it and he is 8 months. Good Luck.

The dirty diapers are normal for a 1 month old. It can last a few months. The Formula problem might be because you are warming the bottles to much or he needs different kind of formula like Enfamil AR ( spit up) You can add a little cereal, like a half a teaspoon then gradually go up, into his bottles to help it settle in his stomach.

totally normal!! (disgusting, but normal) my son spit up like that until he was around 6 or 7 months. just keep a towel handy and a smile on your face. sometimes formula fed babies get what is similar to acid reflux in adults, it's nothing to worry about though. he'll grow out of it. if you're really concerned though, by all means ask ur doctor about it at the next appointment. i wouldn't make a special trip since it's only spit up and not vomit.

Be careful with the spitting up of formula. Your baby might have a food allergy or acid reflux. My daughter who was breast fed and was supplemented with formula, got diagnosed with a milk allergy when she was less than a month old. Look for other signs along with it, such as constant crying, diarrhea, very irritable and etc. My daughter had all of those and her spit up was very projectile. The doctors thought that it might be acid reflux too. All the same signs but with acid reflux the baby could be arching his back during feedings. I am not saying that your child does have either of those things, but please do not dismiss the possibility either. If it is a food allergy, they would switch your child to a different formula and they can give medicine for reflux. It would be best to talk to your doctor about your concerns. Only your doctor could give you the best advice to make your baby more comfortable. As for the seedy stools, that is normal. My daughter had them until she started getting solids. Good Luck!

Yes, normal. Seedy stuff is food that hasn't been completely digested which is to be expected in his still immature digestive system.

For the spit-up, try to add rice to his diet. It will help control the amount though not stop it completely. We used Infamil, Lipil A.R. formula.

Call your doctor and ask. it could be a number of things. Are you over feeding him? Is he burping enough? I remember my kids having yellowish, loose stools with whitish looking things in it. It does sound normal-he's going to the bathroom anyway. More than likely the stools are a product of his formula. The spit up is questionable. Call your Dr. to be safe.

YES!!! It's normal! My daughter spit up everything she ate. It ended up being that I couldn't burp her. I had to sit her still for about 15 min. after I feed her and then burp her. And the poop stays that way till you start feeding solid food.

yup, normal! should be bright yellow or orange with cottage cheesey bits or bird seed looking stuff. also, theres a difference between throwing up, and spitting up. spit up dribbles down thier chins and ends up on theyre chests, throwing up is when it is projected 6 inches or more. if hes actually projecting his vomit more than a few inches, then you should see his doctor. my first child didnt spit up at all ever, but my daughter would spit up after every single time i fed her til she was about 6 mos old. dont worry, sounds normal to me. congrats on your little one!
