First, hit elppawj with a stick repeatedly.
Second, the ingame gold thing could get him banned, which is bad. The keyboard is a really nice idea, and so is preordering the expansion. But what I do think would really help the both of you is if you pried him off the computer (use a crowbar if necessary) and took him outside and you two should just have a day together, go do whatever you want. WoW is really run, but it needs to be taken in moderation.

Go to a store that sells comics and Collectible Card Games (Like Magic the Gathering) and buy him some World of Warcraft cards. Maybe a starter deck and a few booster packs. It is a mostly out-of-game thing, but there are a few rare cards that will give in-game loot...only available through the cards. Generally a starter set is $20 and a booster pack is $6 at this time where I live (at least at the mall where I have bought some). It will make for a good game for him to play, plus a good collector's gift, plus a good investment (I have heard that one of the in-game loot cards, the Turtle Mount, sells on eBay for $300). Hope that helps!

I tried, but my power caused a crack in the table and now I have no where to play. It seemed like a good solution at the time when I couldn't find the Ping Pong ball.

Go to a computer game store and buy him the World of Warcraft Expansion. It comes out in mid-January but you could pre-order it for him and give him the little gift card thingy you get.
P.S. dont buy him in game gold it could get his account perma banned.

Yea the WoW keyboard is a nice gift. You should def preorder the expansion (Burning Crusade). They keep pushing the date back though so there is no guarantee that it will be out in mid January.

Well, not sure if he has this since he's a WoW freak, like myself :), but he might like the WoW keyboard. You can check it out at this link http://www.zboard.com/experience/worldofwarcraft/wow/ . It has all the hot keys already programmed in it. Plus it's inexpensive.
