When I was actually sure it was kicks I was feeling, it definetly felt like a thump on the inside of the lower part of my stomach. Once that happened more than once, I was sure, hey that's the baby! Now at near 25 weeks her movements are changing and I'm trying to reaccustomed to them.

At 16 weeks baby's movement will be sporadic. It doesn't really hurt per say, or at least until baby has less room for movement (say from about 28 weeks and on.)

It's a wonderful thing to feel, and even more amazing one to see. I know when mine this weekend decided to change her movement pattern, I missed seeing my belly poke out, so much so that it almost felt like she wan't there anymore. Even though I knew she was (obviously.) But this morning she was back to her old self and really I couldn't be happier.

I'm more than willing to be a walking punching (kicking) bag for the next two and a half months.

Oh your in for it. No it doesn't hurt, kind of startles you though. I felt movement at 15 weeks, and then once I got to 20 weeks I could tell the difference when he kicked. It feels like your being kicked from the inside. If you sit still you can even see where the kick is comming from. I always know what it is and I feel so great afterwards. It's like he's saying hi mom, I'm alive.

the first time it made me jump. it scared me for a split second until i realized what it was. it feel like if you were to flick your stomach only on the inside. it does not hurt at all its the greatest feeling in the whole world. you know then that the baby is ok. and the whole world seems to change. good luck and you should feel it soon.

I dont think there was a big kick that I noticed. Maybe a series of kicking and flailing the arms.

What got me was the summersaults he did. God, its enough to make you dry heave.
