USA has been a joke for a long time, its politics being funny, and the living situations and opinions of the of Americans are usually humorous, also.
This, didn't really start with Bush, but he is a significant factor. We can't understand him, and thus poke fun of him. He's not a talker, everyone knows that. He is not a scholar, he is not a fighter, he has been in charge of companies, but only because of his family influence. He has been accused of rape, he dodged military service, he is a former drug addict and has snorted drugs that do permanent damage to the brain, he belongs to a weird christian sect, the "born-again"... From all this one would think he would be somewhere searching foodscraps from garbage, but instead he is a President.
I haven't met anyone who likes Bush- neither his policies nor his personalities. I live abroad, from your point of view. I hope this helps.

I've been overseas three times since 9/11. Pretty much everyone I've spoken with regarding politics over there has been conciliatory - "We're sorry about what happened on Sep 11." kind of talk. And they take the same tone regarding our President. No one has said to me that they see or hold him in a good light. Most in fact shy away from it.
These trips come over a period of three years - 2002-2005. They also include Europe and Asia.

I'm not a yankee but I have a lot of American friends here and honestly, I worry a lot when I am taking them around the city for drinks in the evening. I try to tell them to speak French or German or Spanish, but not American, coz so many people here are American haters. They think all Americans are bad because their government is bad. They think of Americans as the enemy because the US is a supporter of Israel. They hate Americans and Bush for what is happening to Irak and for obviously trying to penetrate the Middle East for petrol purposes. They think Bush is the one committing crimes against humanity and he's the one to be condemned. My American friends feel at loss of words in front of such accusations. They just move their heads. My friends work in an Int'l NGO that helps the country's rehabilition. They find a difficulty going back to the US after experiencing life on the other side of the globe.

Well, I have traveled to Canada and England, and when I have talked politics with them, they are very supportive of the USA, and think highly of President Bush.

I have family that live overseas.
Like here in the USA, there is a clear delineation of political views, and they generally run along the same lines, with demographics.

Like all Americans he is a Zionist and a Crusader.
Everyone here in the UK hates Americans because they elected Bill Clinton and George Bush, both of whom bombed Iraq and other Muslim nations.
