When you get those "wonderful" Christmas letters, do you read them through, and get a warm glowy feeling of happiness because your friend or family member has such a wonderful life? Or do you just go yeah, right. Sure. I know Junior made honor roll - was that before or after his 90 day sentence in the county jail?

Do you really believe them? When they tell you how wonderful everything is?

Dragon doesn't like to reed reelly long letters from peeple bragging. All she wants to know is:
Who died
Who is in jail (or got out of jail)
And whether or not evarybody is healthy
If she knows peeple well, chances are she knows what's going on in their lives and doesn't need a letter. But she understands that some peeple need to brag about how great their lives are, and that it makes them feel bettar. Just cuz she gets it in the mail doesn't meen she has to reed it.

I enjoy them. & yes, I believe them, maybe they left out the bad parts but that is ok. And I don't look at it as bragging. I can be happy for someone else even if I'm having a bad phase ... I think every year we all have ups & downs, better to only include the "ups" in your letter =)

I don't get those letters, I'm 28 and my friends just sign their names to their cards like I do...but my Mom and Grandma usually do. They're at a bit annoying sometimes, but it's nice to hear of others' successes!
