Well, all of you are making some good points. However, can we really stop what we've labeled as global warming. Honestly, was it the caveman's fault that we had an ice age and then everything got hot and then everything got cold again? I think nature's just taking her course more than anything.
Oh, and Rush Limbaugh isn't my only source of information. I also listen to Hannity.

Isn't it funny how people can bash President Bush and Republicans all day long but if you make one snide remark about Gore, Kerry, or all the other libs, you are berated? Get a life.

While it is true that parts of the Earth are slowly getting warmer, other parts are slowly getting cooler. Is this because of mankind's pollution, or is it simply a natural trend in the Earth's weather?
One thing I have seen no conclusive evidence for, however, is that mankind is on the verge of an abrupt and catastrophic climate change due to our neglect of the environment. I believe this is simply fear-mongering by the eco-political machine to further fund its existence.
I believe we all have a responsibility to respect and care for our planet. However, we should not let a group of lawyers and politicians scare us into funneling millions of dollars into their bank accounts, just because they tell us we are all about to die and they have the answer. (The same thing can also be said about terrorism)

Global Warming is it truly? Yes Whats the reason? Many motives... a million. The earth obviously cycles by way of scorching stages and bloodless stages. These immediately correspond to the CO2 stages within the surroundings. At peaks stages (additionally maximum temperature), CO2 is ordinarily two instances higher than it is low factor. This is the norm. About 5000 years used to be the traditional top. If you seem on the graph you are going to see rather of going go into reverse it sky rockets up after that. We are at three instances the low factor and 50% bigger than the top factor might ordinarily be. Since the volcanic pastime has honestly lowered over all, this features to the one different carbon manufacturer - Man. two. While CO2 is an instantaneous indicator of Man induced worldwide warming, there's an additional supply of Warming. The Suns output has it appears long gone up headquartered on up to date studying within the final three years. While three years is not a satisfactory monitor list, it is some thing that may be measured on more than one planets. So even as CO2 output is undoubtedly induced through guy and as a result a few Global Warming is induced through guy, Solar output could also be a contributer. While we are not able to be certain how so much of the warming is induced through the solar in comparison to the warmness trapping CO2, we do understand the Solar pastime will have to be transitority and the CO2 stages aren't. Effect: As glacial ice melts each on the polar areas and at bigger elevations the sea will upward thrust. Normal swing among low and high is approximately two hundred ft. However when you consider that the CO2 stages an additional one hundred ft is inside the variety of chances within the subsequent a thousand years. Although simply a few ft might motives us to lose so much costal towns - the Florida Keys, Probably Venice, and Parts of New York City. Whenever you learn a piece of writing in this field ask your self who's paying them to write down the object. Most anti-worldwide warming propaganda is written through cash furnished from "consider tanks" which might be funded through Oil organizations. The gigantic majority of scientists consider worldwide warming is guy made. Who are you going to consider, hundreds of thousands of scientist independently coming to the identical end or the only or 2 who're paid to write down in opposition to the field through Oil Companies?

Can we stop global warming?
We can certainly stop dumping as much of the gases that cause it into the atmosphere as we now do.
If in the 70's, when we "environmental wackos" first started harping on the problems of pollution we had made any serious effort to find alaternative sources of energy, not only would global warming not be as big a problem as it is today, but we wouldn't be wasting so much of our money making owners of oil companies obscenely rich, and wouldn't have to be in bed with governments of oil rich countries.
No, it isn't a figment of Gore's imagination -- it's science. All those who actually know what they're talking about tell us that we are causing this problem.

Despite what Rush Limbaugh says, Al Gore did not invent the Internet nor did he invent Global warming. he did say how wonderful the Internet would be and he did say how awful Global warming would be. Try getting a few different sources of information than Rush and expand your mind.

Isn't it funny how those (few) scientists who deny global warming are so unwilling to take a bet on the proposition? While so many on the other side keep asking them to?
Any free-market thinker would realize that the one-sidedness of who's willing to put their money where their mouth is, implies that the market is once again telling us an undeniable truth: global warming is real.

Yes, it definitely is real. But president Bush won't help do change this. Ever heard of the Kyoto treaty? Bush refuses to cooperate, because it will cost money, but in the end, the climate change will cause lots of diseases:
Bush has criticized the treaty, saying it set unrealistic goals and could damage the U.S. economy. But other nations worry about scientific concerns that climate change could lead to severe floods and droughts, rising sea levels and an increase in malaria and respiratory disease.

maybe... but what if he (or, more importantly, a number of credible scientists) are right?
glaciers are melting. climates are changing. the only real questions are (1) how much is due to our industrialization, and (2) can we prevent some of the impacts?
if we can do something to avert it now, why wait until Florida is underwater, and Katrina looks like a walk in the park in comparison?
