I think I'm in way over my head and I have absolutely no one to help me.

It's not that hard. Does it take some work? Yes. Compared to a real job? Hardly. To be honest, if you just want any college education, it's pretty darn easy. If you can apply for a job, you can apply to college. 4 year schools typically require a standardized test such as the SAT. However, there's not too much beyond that.

Are any of your friends applying? You can ask them all the steps. Otherwise, ask specific questions on here or call the admissions office of a school you're interested in. Check their website.

School counselor may or may not help. Many of them, unfortunately, are being paid while doing students more harm than good.

When I taught grade school and high school, I made constant remarks about getting good grades for college. I recall my own teachers doing the same.

Let me ask you this, did you think it was going to be easy? If so, why?

There are so many programs, books, etc all designed to get students in to colleges and universities. Did you know about these?

If you are still in high school,I suggest you talk to your guidance counselor about how you can reach this goal. It won't be easy. It isn't supposed to be easy.

Good luck.

Definitely try talking to more people at your school for help. Getting into some colleges is difficult, but others are much less difficult and some accept literally anyone who applies. Whatever the case, don't give up - having a college degree is extremely important and you'll be glad you have it one day!

If you are still in high school, go talk to your counselor. If you are already out of school, then go see an academic advisor at the college/university you want to go to.

Research the university/college online to see what steps are needed to be accepted. Then FOLLOW them!

I know, it sucks. But teachers are actually not technically responsible for that part. Do you have a counselor or social worker at your school? They can help you with forms, essays, deadlines. Or, if you have any specific questions, contact me and maybe I can help you.

Best of luck to you.... DON'T GIVE UP!

If you can't figure out how to apply for college yourself, you should not attend.

waaaaa waaaaa waaaaa!

Why is it someone else's fault you're having a hard time?

They probably DID tell you but you didn't listen.

GROW UP and take responsibility for yourself!
