You need to worry if its full on period like bleeding with severe cramping and/or clots.

Spotting is normal. Especially after sex. WHen you're pregnant your cervix is pushed down by the growing uterus, which means its closer to the vaginal opening than usual. This makes sex irritating to the cervix because a mans penis runs into it.

You'll want to control depth when having sex while pregnant, if you pay attention you'll be able to feel the pinch of him being too deep and hitting the cervix. Especially the father along you get, it actually becomes uncomfy and even painful.

CAll the shots, be in control, and remind him to be easy with you.

You should atleast call your doctor to inform them that you had some spotting, these types of things need to be on your record so that later they act as a standard for how your body acts when pregnant.

Any kind of bleeding pregnant isn't a good sign! Especially in the first trimester, when at higher risk for miscarriages. I have a 5 yr old.. and I'm 36 wks preg now, and I've never bled. I'd go get checked! Just to b on the safe side.

Yes it is. When your pregnant, your cervix is high and soft. When you have sex or even have an exam, you can bleed. If you ever fill up a pad in less than 1 hour, call your doc. asap. Best of luck to you, I just found out im 4 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby and I had the same things happen to me.

I would call the Dr. just to be on the safe side but bleeding after sex in the first trimester is common! For me it stopped in the second!

Mine was always light pink though and never lasted long.

Your cervix gets bumped by the penis and it causes irritations.

This is normal especially after sex. You may want to mention it to your doctor next time you see him but if you aren't cramping or having heavy bleeding then I think everything is ok. Again only a doctor can rule out a problem.

It can be normal. I have experienced this twice and my ob said it was just due to the intercourse and the swelling that goes on down there with blood vessels. My blood wasn't very bright red but it was very very little. I would still call your doctor and describe to them. Mine likes to know and he tells me not to have sex for a week.

I had the same thing happen to me, I freaked out and called the doctor and he had me come in. Checked me out and said all was good that sometimes having intercourse can irritate the cervix causing it to bleed slightly. If you feel uncertain about it though, I'd call your ob doc and see if you could get in to see him or her. Good luck!!
