Yes it's an overhyped load of rubbish. And I hate all that Scottish stuff they make us watch leading up to it. It's just another year...so what? I'll be in bed before twelve on Dec 31st with a good book. Humbug!!

More than anything it is an excuse for a booze up and a chance to meet people of the opposite sex. A trumped up bender that puts lots of drunk drivers on the roads each year.

i love new year and really you should to because its a chance to correct all the wrongs you have made in the past along with a new start and a new chapter in your life book not only that you become a year wiser i know i probably sound old and boring but i am only 19 and i believe life is what you make it n if u live life being miserable don't complain when things are going wrong or bad

I really don't see the significance, but that time of year means something else to me, so I still celebrate. I've got a friend with a b-day then, so we party for that reason.

No its great!!! Its the chance to restart yourself for the year ahead, its refreshing too. There not the commercial crap as with xmas its about the new start and meeting friends old and new.....the birth of a new year.....fantastic
