Anyone can find out anything they want about who did what, when and where on a computer. They have forensic computer experts to do this. I still believe that use of public forums on the comp. is protected under freedom of speech. Your school might not like what she said and if she didn't break the school rules of misuse of their computer then I wouldn't worry too much about it. Is the school really willing to go that far?? It might depend on what she said but I still say too bad for the school.

As long as they do things right! If they REALLY want to find out it was her, or who it was. THEY WILL! There are so many ways of finding out. It really doesn't take much. It doesn't matter if she deleted her ip address. If she took the computer with her, I'm sure they can find her and take her computer and find out anything they want about what she did on the computer from simple reports, to games, blogs, email ect. If she doesn't want cought she better ditch the computer.......
