Have you ever just wanted to give the 10 points to someone that has never gotten a Best Answer just because you wanted to make them happy?

Sometimes, if it is a toss up between a couple different answers. Usually, Dragon goes with the one she saw that was the answer that made her laugh the most or was the most informative, or whatever.

No. That would be dishonest. When I go voting for Best Answers, I try to act as a completely disinterested observer, even if one of the answers under consideration is mine.

yeah! I've done that for most of my questions because all the answers are usually equally good. if there's one really great answer I'll pick that one without checking their level but otherwise I love giving people their first best answer :D

Rarely. I almost always choose the best answer based on the answer that was most thought, most funny, or just made me smile and made sense.
