Why did O'Brian leave Boston College to coach NC State?

I think B.C. is a much better program. And he is not even going to make that much more money.

I find this to be a stupid idea.

I'll bet you he is getting somewhere near a 50% raise and when you are already making $900K that is a lot of money. The cost of living is much cheaper in NC as well so that is just money in his pocket. How do you turn down a $500K/year raise? You would have to be stupid...and he, obviously, is not.
