Germans love David Hasselhoff so what choice could go wrong! But since it is a quinceanera perhaps Ricky Martin is available. It will be fun.
Huey Lewis and The News have as their hit songs a kind of softer fruity sound but they are hardcore rockin musicians. I knew a club band before they were famous that was totally kick *** hard in Detroit but their MTV and hit songs were poofty (The Romantics).

I've known many a German. Don't let that humorless, no-nonsense exterior fool you. Germans sometimes do the craziest things. That's why some of my best friends in the world are German. :)
I'd say go for it. I'm not too big of a fan of HL & the News but if they played for my party, I'd still dig it.
