Spiritual darkness is Satan. Spiritual Light is God. People live in darkness because they live in sin. Those living in darkness fear the light. They hide in darkness because of their sins. Many are afraid of the light than are afraid of darkness. Fear God and fear nothing else. Do not fear God and fear everything else.

I used to be as a child. Still am a little in unfamiliar environments. I think it stems from the fear of the unknown. As a child it was probably because I was being abused. Once the abuser was gone, I think it was more about being alone in the dark. Then the dark itself. I believe most people feel vulnerable when they are in the dark. Not being able to see, no sense of direction and having to figure out unfamiliar sounds.

no, never have been. the Darkness is my friend, the blanket that covers it all up and dresses all things in a mystery. Al things that hide during the day come out at night in the dark, and all things aquire a very own shadow...

No, but I'd be afraid of a clown in the dark. or in the daylight, or in a poorly lit environment, or in the rain, etc. Basically, I fear clowns.
