Cardinals out of running for Bonds

Borris would not confirm which teams, other than the Giants, might be involved. The St. Louis Cardinals apparently had made their initial interest known, but San Francisco was told they were no longer involved

It is not a done deal and is being used by his agent and him as a smokescreen so that the Giants will give him a good contract. Why else would Bonds show up at the winter meetings. That is very unusual and happened because most likely no one wants that albatross on their team. Not even the Cardinals!!

Chow!!

The Cardinals talked to Bonds, they are probably not going to sign him.

Cards GM Jocketty made it very clear today that they have NO interest in Bonds at all. I feel this is a ploy to get Bonds more money from the Giants

Thank goodness no. I want him to rot on that San Francisco excuse for a club. If we're lucky, he'll get injured early.

That must have been the tabloids that said that.
But if they did pick him up, they would put him in left field.
You may not believe this, but he is a better fielder than Chris Duncan.
