I've given bracelets as gifts to several people. It's easy to do and bead store owners are always happy to help by teaching you the best techniques. You can also buy beads and supplies at a craft store such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby or AC Moore. Even WalMart is carrying beading stuff now. If there is anyone in the isle looking at beads, I'm sure they can help direct you to what you need. The best part about a bead store, though, is that you don't have to buy the pliers or other tools you might need. They usually have them there for you to use. You can design your piece right there in the shop, so you know exactly how many of what shape or color you need. You could probably create a beautiful piece for your Mom for less than $20, depending on what beads you choose. I don' t know how old you are, but I wear a bracelet with my daughters name on it. You can buy silver cubes with letters on them that can spell out names or initials or inspirational words or even simply, Mother. Search the web for name bracelets or mommy bracelets for ideas. Good Luck !

Unless your mom is concerned about her weight (lots of us are) cookies are always fun. Actually they are fun anyway. Tell her the calories don't count if your kid makes them. No seriously, it's true, I used to work for Weight Watchers!!!

If you are handy with a computer and have access to a laminator personalised table mats are a lot of fun too.

Or you could try a brooch or something out of fimo. That can be brittle though, and I don't know about you but I'm not much of a model maker.

Or write her a poem about what she means to you. You could have her blubbing for hours with that.

One mother's day my daughter posted an image of herself on the internet dressed in angels wings and a halo and cuddling teddy with the message "for everything" and sent me the link. That was kind of cool.

Actually she will love anything you make for her, she's a mom, it's in her contract.

Good luck

Well you could redisign a old picture frame like sand it and paint it nicely and then put a picture of you and your mom from when you were little in it. I did this for my mom and she absolutely loved it. Hope I helped!!!

make her a mini scrapbook. take some of her baby pics and your baby pics or just pics of you two together. You can buy a mini scrapbook kit at Michael's or Joanne's - Joanne's is better.
