Here's how I would fix the problem.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove
Look for Window Internet Explorer 7 and remove it.
I also deleted all Yahoo programs and toolbars from my PC. The only thing I kept was Yahoo Messenger. You may want to keep the Yahoo Toolbar if you have no other way of blocking popups.
If you'd like to have IE7 go to the Microsoft site and download it. That way it won't be "optimized" for Yahoo or anyone elses website. Heres the URL.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx
Hope this helps!

Yahoo didn't screw up your computer, Internet Explorer 7 did, if you downloaded it from Yahoo. I did that, and removed it as fast as I could. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and the show updates box at the top. When the list loads, find Internet Explorer 7 and click on the right side to remove it. After it's removed, close control panel and restart your computer. It will revert back to IE6, what you are used to using.

You can uninstall IE7 and go back to IE6. To do so, do the following:
Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Click show updates at the top. Scroll down until you see Internet Explorer 7. Click Remove. Go through the process and restart your computer. IE6 is back, problem solved.

ur not stupid- half the world doesn't even know how to check email. first, go to the start button at the very bottom left corner of your screen. then go to settings and click on control panel. after that, you should see a button the says "add or remove programs". click on it and a list should come up of all the programs on your computer. go down to internet explorer. then click remove or uninstall and it should guide you through that. hope this helps :)

Hello. If you created a restore point, ( the system sometimes creates a check point) go to start...then run... type
"msconfig" (without the ") launch system restore... choose a point before you installed IE. click OK...then re-boot. Should fix all... But, FireFox is a alot better than IE. Have a blest day

look in control panel, you'll see a spot in add/remove programs for ie7. after uninstalling, run a registry clean up. all should be ok.
if you don't have a registry cleaner, ask a friend to download ccleaner from download.com and burn it to disc so you can install it on your machine. good luck
