OK, it starts at sundown on Dec. 16, officially, which is a Saturday, so how about if you buy 8 presents with date labels from Dec. 16 until Dec. 23, and just give him the first 3 on Monday the 18th, with one every day thereafter, and two on Friday the 22nd (one for Fri. and one for Sat.) Also, don't forget that Hanukkah presents are typically something rather small (mini box of chocolates, $5 gift card) until the 8th crazy night, and that is typically the "big" present.

Hi,
That's a lovely idea, I'm sure he is going to like your attentiveness. What usually happens is you give a small present every day at night fall when the Chanukiayah/Menorah is lit. However, that might be difficult with work, so I would say, give it to him in the morning.
Chanukkah starts on Friday 15th of December when the sun goes down and the last day (8th day) is on 22nd of December. The 8th day is the BIG day by the way, where you give bigger gifts. If your employer is keeping kosher and your buying him food gifts like chocolate, make sure you get kosher ones. The store can help you with that, but major Kosher signs are K, U and OU.
Happy Chanukkah, Chag Sameach

Chanukah starts sundown December 15th and ends sundown December 23rd traditionally presents are given at night but considering it is a place of business iot would be allowable to give them anytime during the workday.

Typically, the menorah is lit in the evening; however, I'm sure he would appreciate the gift at anytime during the day. I belive it starts around the 19th.

That's not customary to do if it is not family. Parents usually only do this with their own children.
