If there were terrible UNCOUNTED acts taking place, what was purpose of hiding them? I'd have been much more understanding if the military had simply told the TRUTH rather than having to find out the truth this way!
12-06) 17:31 PST WASHINGTON, (AP) --
U.S. military and intelligence officials have systematically underreported the violence in Iraq in order to suit the Bush administration's policy goals, the bipartisan Iraq Study Group said.
"Good policy is difficult to make when information is systematically collected in a way that minimizes its discrepancy with policy goals," the report said.
The panel pointed to one day last July when U.S. officials reported 93 attacks or significant acts of violence. "Yet a careful review of the reports for that single day brought to light 1,100 acts of violence," it said.
Some U.S. analysts have complained for months that the Pentagon's reports to Congress on conditions in Iraq have undercounted the violent episodes.
This is so sad.

Politics & Government
➔ Government
I was watching tim russert the other day and I realized that while some were outright lying the others who didn't know better were busy trying to reverberate off the lie and come up with a platform for thier politics based on that lie. It is commonly known that most politicians have a mental illness that drives them to try and control people. Very few have creative solutions to any problem whatsoever.
In the future governments will lose control over people for the number of fundamental rifts in the agreement between governed and governors. It is no longer beneficial for sensible people to listen to what they have to say, it will get you nowhere fast.
In the US we have just near completed a mass killing of innocent people (truly innocent non-combatants) on the scale that rivals nazi Germany. Best thing you can do is to vote by selecting better and better politicians who are bent on solutions and not power and over the next 30 years you may start to see a difference. Other than that, just cover your ***.

Truth?
Truth?
What is truth?
I am sorry I am unfamiliar with the term... I have been paying attention to the media, um I mean government propaganda machines, for too long.
OH YEAH! I remember.... the OPPOSITE of lies.... yes... yes..
All governments lie to their people, it is a bit like parents lying to kids and saying that their goldfish that just died is now in goldfish heaven... they like to think they are protecting us, or at least I am sure that is what they tell us. The truth is, they do not want to have to own up to what they have done and will continue to do in OUR NAMES!
We have been made accomplices to mass murder and torture and so to tell the truth now would ruin them... provided that there are any people left who can actually think for themselves...
You are right my friend.. it is sad... but it is much more than that.. IT IS CRIMINAL and should be treated as such!

Propaganda. When at war, every country shades the truth to their side. It's happened since the first war fought with men, and will happen at the last war.
Nobody is telling the entire truth of Iraq. Not Bush, Blair, Fox, CNN, Al-Jezerra (sp), no one.

Since you all seem to know so much about it, why don't you just jump in there and fix the problem? Why don't you run for political office? Or did you even vote in the last two elections? I'll bet not.

our government can not tell the truth because they would lose public support, and like other countries they have to feed us propaganda. It is a shame but true.not to mention the egos that exist in DC.
