RCOOH is the general formula for carboxylic acid.

The R is some random group connected to the carbon.

The C has one covalent double bond to a oxygen and covalent single bond to the other oxygen. The hydrogen is connected to the single bonded oxygen

ROR' is an ether.
RCOC' doesn't make sense!
RCOOR' is an ester, like ethyl acetate.
