As I look at your title, I didn't know they had names just for bi-racial babies. But since you ask, I don't like the boy name. No offense, but it seems like "a homey round the block" name. The girl name is o.k. But I like the spelling Portia Cheyanne a lot better. Portia is a nice name and when spelled this way, it looks normal and elegant. The spelling Porscha is ....well you get the point.

Why does the race have to factor into the name? It is obvious from the names that the child isn't white or hispanic. No one will know that those names are supposed to be "biracial".

I personally think both of them are awful. You're setting your child up for a lifetime of prejudgement.

Portia Cheyenne wouldn't be bad... I agree that it is pretentious but at least it is a NAME rather than a jumble of letters her illiterate parents pulled out of a bag.

You asked for opinions!!!

I like Raheim. A lot! Dramel I could take it or leave it.

I like Portia, but spelled that way, Portia. A VERY old name. Love it. I really hate the name Shyann.

They're pretty bad, especially when you factor in the fact that they are 'creative' spellings. Why not at least spell the girl's name properly? What's wrong with Portia Cheyenne? It's trendy and pretentious, but at least it's less godawful.

Try checking out the 'Baby's Got a Bad, Bad Name' page at http://www.notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/ for some tips on why to avoid names like this.

An alternative spelling to the girl name would be Portia Cheyenne.

In my opinion, it would be child abuse if you named a human being those names. But hey, you're the one who is going to have to deal with all the bullies, etc.
