256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro

AND

256MB Nvidia GeForce 6800 Graphics Card

Is one better than the other?

I have been advised by one person to get the 2nd one b/c it's not shared or intergrated to take from the RAM memory but is the 1st one as good or better than 2nd one?

Thanks

The X1300 is a piece of crap, if you are going to use it for gaming, forget about the X1300, it won't cut it. It is a newer generation card but it has slow memory, it has a slow GPU, it has few pipelines, it's just... it's crap.

The 6800 would be the one to go with here provided you need an AGP card or you can't afford something better than the 6800. If you have a PCIe slot, I'd go with at least something in a 7600GT to 7900GT or even the 7950GT. It just depends on how much you want to spend.

While the X1300 is a newer generation, it is not a performance card. It will perform much slower than the 6800 even if it supports more features. The 6800 is an older generation card, but the 800 here means it is a higher end card. It will perform better than the X1300.
