WHERE IS MY MOM?

Where is my mom? I need her today!
She said, "Baby, I'm never far away!"
Where is my mom? I say with a frown!
She said, "You're not looking up! You're looking way too far down!"
Where is my mom? It's her I want to see!
She said, "Look in the mirror and you'll see part of me!"
Where is my mom? Why should I live! Why should I bother?
She said, 'BECAUSE WHEN I LEFT, I MADE YOU A MOTHER!"

I wrote that poem about 3 years ago. My mother had already been dead for about 4 years and I missed her terribly. She was the best mom in the world. I believe she inspired me to write it. It helped me to realize that death is, in fact, a part of life and generations do continue on!

Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost

"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay"

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
