As stated on the BBC morning news report, tornadoes are not as rare as people in the UK believe. The UK actually gets more tornadoes each year than the USA, but ours mostly happen in the countryside and are rarely reported nationally.

blame two things global warming and the UK government from not taking global warming seriously and not taken action immediately!!!
