first off there not in complete poverty, kids have ipods, listen to hip hop and eat at mcdonalds just like you, and for the most part they are resentful of there government and hate the president just like us. there is more in common with iran and the us then there is differenece.
they have really stritct laws there. becasue it's based on religion. similar laws where implementant in this country back when it was religous. saying Iran is bad, is like saying a religous state is bad, which is pretty obvious.
what most people don't know is Iran back in the day was a demcratic country, then in 1956 the american government over threw that elected government in iran and installed a puppet shah, in the 70's the iraninas got pissed had a revolution and took the americans at the embassy hostage. ever since then we have never been friends. it's all about money, power, and jews. seriously. the number one reason most the middle east hates us is becuase we support Israel and Israel is causing suffering to the palastinains. it's just the way it is.

I think Iran and most of the countries where Islam is prevalent failed to go through the Renaissance with the rest of the world. For the most part, they are still living in the dark ages where the only law is the gang rule. In their case, it happens to be the religious gang that is in power. If anyone reading this is a student of history, they would know that religious battles have ruled the Earth since the beginning of time. It is time for REASON to prevail. Enough with mysticism and altruism i.e., Subjectivisim. It is time for Objectivism and the rule of reason to prevail; just as it has in the United States and other Western countries for over 400 years.

I went to school with many Iranans in the 70's. I can tell you as people they are like the rest of us. They care, they don't want war. They, like us, want to live a good life. But also like us have leaders they can't control. Basically Iranians as a whole are good people.
