Wow, that is so cool. I do that too. I love driving around and looking at the christmas lights. Some people really go out. My mom did not do that with me. So I am starting the tradition. Good question. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.

Its actually a tradition in my family to take the kids out on Christmas Eve to look at the lights. It gets them sleepy on by the time we get back in they pass out before they can even think about waiting up for Santa.

We do...There is a homeowners section that has competitions and its called Christmas Tree Lane. It goes on for about 3 weeks and it takes about 2 hrs to go thru. You can go on foot or by car. Homeowners pass out cookies and hot chocolate. Its 100% free and the kids love it. Its amazing at what great ideas people have.

It is a tradition in my husbands family to go out on christmas eve to look at them. A whole neighborhood where I live lines there roads with those luminaries. We drive around with the headlights out and it is so nice!

Being Jewish, we don't put up many lights... but we love going around the neighborhood & seeing how creative our neighbors get in their quest to out-do each other with their displays.
I do enjoy it, & it is a great tradition to have with your family.

me and my family do! on christmas eve i love doing this it's soooo much fun. we've looked at lights as long as i can remember! when we lived in VA there was one house that you could park on the street and walk through their display and they had a guy dressed as santa and a room in their house that u could walk into and it was full of angels! they also had a tent with a meal and music that they were using for a fundraiser - it was so awesome!
