Except for many technological and information system careers, the occupations of the 1930s were the same as today: teachers, doctors, clerks, clergy, farmers, mechanics, salespeople, telephone operators, librarians, factory workers, actors, miners, police, engineers, military, etc. What you wouldn't find: IT technicians, computer data entry specialists, internet sales associates, certain types of medical technicians, astronauts.
