To Stop unaddressed mail

Just stick a sign to you door saying 'no junk mail, flyers or free papers', but you rely on your postie taking the trouble not to post these things through your letter box. This is an interesting question actually because you can't opt out with the preference service like you can for addressed mail, so I don't know. I just stick them straight in the recycle box.

I'm not sure what the question is here, but the best thing is to speak to your local sorting/delivery office or even better to catch your own postman and ask him. In fact, it is a good idea to make friends with your postie as he will keep mail for you while you are on holiday, instead of you have to pay for it through the royal mail system, and our postie is a real sweetheart.
