Yeah. Hrithik should have died and Ash should have gone to jail. Also, 1 more thing, why the hell was Bips there? She should have either been the cop though out the whole movie or she should have been in brazil with her sister at the same time .
Just shows how cheap these directors are. I mean technology has come sooo far now. It's possible to play a double role and be on the screen on da same time.

I think, both the movies are not so similar except the action. They both have their own flair, charm. It has to end differently.
this time the thief was involved with a lady and he remained alive...the happy ending.....Masterstroke!
You must have expected him to die, but that's the surprise, you see. if everything happens, you imagined before then why would you go yo watch it?
and not just for the sake of it, i think they had to prove that this time the theif is more intelligent, smarter. he can't be dead yaar.
And by considering both the storylines, i think they justified. it certainly worked. they are good at their own style. don't compare it.

I was kind of disappointed by Dhoom 2s ending.
If they wanted ash and hrithik to escape, then they shouldn't have shown that abhishek knew that hrithink was alive.
Or they should have simply killed him.
