I'm a bit lost and don't know how to cure this problem, hopefully someone can help, I find the stupidest things can get me upset and depressed, I don't mean I end up in tears or anything just really depressed the rest of the day, I.E someone at work my boss gives me a really crappy 10 min job to do this will ruin the rest of my day, or I take something someone says the wrong way even thnough I know i;ve took it the wrong way I still end up depressed the rest of the day, what has happened plays on my mind the rest of the day. Has anyone else this problem or do you have a cure? Once someone puts me in a bad mood thats me the rest of the day, nothing seems to cure it

You may want to talk to your doctor... if your mood has a significant impact on your life you might have some sort of chemical imbalance. Otherwise, get started with a hobby or have something to look forward to doing... find some good music you like (lots of workplaces allow iPods or Walkmans) and surround yourself with people who have positive attitudes.

When something happens that upsets you, take a minute to try and figure out WHY in particular it causes you so much grief. Deal with your problems as they hit you, i.e. if you think you're taking something a person says the wrong way, ask them what they mean just to make sure. A crappy 10 minute job is part of working somewhere. If you find it unbearable where you work, you may need a different job as well. Good luck!

Being oversensitive about people's comments towards me can really affect me too. Don't worry, just don't read into it too much, what people say isn't always true and you are the judge of it, not them. With time, silly issues like that won't bother you anymore. Sometimes you just have to go through it a lot before you can get over it. hope that helps. You're not alone!

Stress and hormones. Next time you notice your physician, give an explanation for the quickness to anger and spot if he can present any strategies. For now, attempt to time table a few down time for your self and spend a while pampering your self with a bubble tub and a well guide or anything is stress-free for you.

You need to grow a thicker skin but that will come with time. Just try to ignore the minor things.

There is NO point in making yourself depressed.

Maybe you need to realise you arent the centre of the universe and grow up and stop sulking if things dont go your way. And if this answer puts you in a bad mood...good...at least you have read it and can think about it.
