I want to take a pregnancy test because I haven't been feeling well but I don't want to waste the money if its not time yet. I had sex 3 weeks ago, can I take a test and will it be accurate?

Hi,
Wait until your next period is due. As soon as it is due, then wait at least another week. If period still hasn't came then buy a test. Or another altenative, buy a pack of tests, one that comes with 2 or 3, now (they may be a few dollars but trust me its worth it) and take it as soon as your period is due or take it now. That way if it comes back negative you'll have another test to take which I would take at least onew week after your period is due.

When I had unprotected sex on Jan 8, I found out with an early response pregnancy test on Jan 24, that yes I was pregnant. I didn't want to spend too much $ on a test, but wanted to get one that was accurate. Walgreens early response test very accurate and didnt cost much. Some women get nauseated in first few months, that was a factor in also knowing that I was pregnant, not to mention I also ate twice as much as I usually ate.

I have taken the test before my missed period at about 3 wks. My last pregnancy it showed that I was pregnant. This time at 3 wks it did not. It showed neg. It can very. As someone else said, the dollar tree has them for a dollar if you don't want to wait.

How close are you to the first day of your period? The closer you are to the first day of your period the more accurate the test is. That is why the tests recommend you take it on the first day of your period. Now there are early response tests that can test up to five days before.
If you are uncertain of when your first day of your next period is. I'd wait at least another week before testing just to be sure.

Not only do you want to take the test, should be able to get an accurate reading, you may want to stop having unprotected sex (unless you know %100) this person has nothing and your the only one, but you may also want to have an STD done for your own safety. PLANNED PARENTHOOD

You can buy a test at the dollar tree for a dollar or at the dollar store/family dollar stores for no more than 4 bucks.
you Can test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant.

Take a test when you have a missed period, if you have missed it then go and take a test.

if you don't want to wait for another 2 weeks then go to a womens klinc, they will have them cheeper or for free
