You already know he was a president and that he was only in office a month after succumbing to pneumonia. Did you know that he contracted the pneumonia during his inaugural speech? Legend has it that he wanted look strong, authoritative and in control. He thought that wearing a coat would not send that message and opted to go without one. It was FREEZING cold that day. He got sick and eventually died. Interesting, huh?

HE was the 9th president. Died after only 1 month in office. First president to die in office. Married to Anna Tuthill Symmes Harrison. She was too ill to travel from Ohio to Washington to attend her husbands inauguration and he died before she ever made the trip.
