where I come from, Puerto Rico, we decorate palm trees with lights. They look very nice. Also, we can buy pines from are imported from Canada, so we can also have a northern Christmas tree at our homes too.

I don't think every place commonly has "Christmas Trees". You don't need one for it to be Christmas. :)
