How did you choose your major?

I'm looking for personal reasons why you or someone you know chose that particular major.

I chose Accounting because I took it in highschool and enjoyed it. Plus, there are a lot of jobs for accountants and once you get certified it pays really good. I enjoy doing taxes.

I didn't choose my major, which was Desktop Publishing, it chose me by the lure of the Apple Macintosh operating system.

You see, in high school, I was on the newspaper staff and apparently the only one who could type, eventually I learned how to use the Mac we had. Then I went to a local college and asked an advisor if they had any programs that worked with the Mac and the rest is history.
