Especially if there is a Democratic controlled congress. Would that keep the balance of powers between the two branches? Or is that only when it is controlled by the Republicans?

I will be voting for the best person for the job. Voting for someone based on the meaningless little letter after their name is the lazy way out. People do more research before buying a car than they do before choosing a president.

It really depends upon the candidate. As someone who has voted on both sides, I prefer to look at the candidate, not the party. However, this last vote was different. I voted straight democratic ticket for all national races in order to restore a balance of power between the two parties.

If I like the Republican candidate, yes. Or if I dislike the Republican candidate less than the Democratic one. Sad that it often comes down to that.

Incidentally, if Giuliani secures the nomination I'll happily not only vote for him but campaign for him.

I would absolutely vote GOP. I am a registered Democrat who places a high priority on the balance of power.

Don't know. Depends on who runs. One thing for sure, if it looks or smells like a Bush, I won't be voting Republican.
