actually.. i am doing my homework but google and yahoo search engines dont have anything for these things in the ming dynasty so i posted a question thinking someone else might know.

at least you are honest,
symbolism in acient china was as important as in many other countries of that era, mystical rune casting are one european example.
remember what system of power was governing china, the prevelent religeon, how power over the people was maintained,
all of these questions will figure into your eventual answers.
china was also a closed country for very many years with no outside influences to point to a different view the development of education was rooted into the symbolism of chance, good fortune
acceptance of the spirit world was the norm you have heard of feng shu this is another example of good and bad spirits influencing everyday lives of the believers look up sword making in china for the metal elements, what colour is pure, white, purity of mind body and spirit as is the chrysanthemum it also has medicinal properties ,look up chinese herbal medicine.. Autumn is the "3rd" season
The number 3 rhymes with "birth / live" in Mandarin Chinese
I believe white is the imperial color of this dynasty. It is not until Qing dynasty that yellow was adopted as imperial color.
No idea about metal, tiger, or chrysanthenum. If you can name WHICH metal I may have a better idea... :)
