My laptop's LCD screen is broken, but I would like to know wheter it can be fixed BEFORE i scream my head off.

If it is cracked, then it is not worth the time nor the money to have it repaired. You can however, get a now LCD screen. Depending on your model, you might be supprised at how cheep it is. You might even be able to find a used one for $20. They can be a little tricky to get installed but it is possible to do it yourself.

If the screen is completely off, see if you can see anything from an external screen. If you can't your video card is bad.
If you can, then see if any light or heat is coming off the screen, you may have a bad backlight which is cheap to fix. Other than that, i would check to see if the LCD cable is disconnected, or broken.
Everything else would require a new LCD, which you can find on Ebay, and alot cheaper than actually fixing an LCD. Good Luck

very difficult and very very expensive if at all possible.
if it is damage to the lcd crystals - you are done.

no, you cannot repiar them,i found one on ebay for mine for $70 and put it in myself.
