Sadly yes I do know know someone who has been on the show COPS 1 of my cousin's best friends was accused of domestic violence durring the Infamous " Cheeseburger Incident"

The story goes like this: my cousin's friend and his gf were arguing about money problems durring a christmas holliday they were having (they were a new couple it was their first place to live outside their parent's homes she was 6 months pregnant at the time and he was the only 1 workin he did construction and roofing at the time and money was very tight)

On the way home from work his boss (who is the guy's brother by the way) who he was ridin to and from work bought him a combo meal from burger king as a reward for a great days's work he walks in with the half eaten food in the burger king bag intent on finishing it off while relaxing and watching tv after a 15 hour construction shift

The gf thinks he went to burger king and paid out of his own pocket for the food and did not get her anything and an argument starts

In the process of the argument somehow he throws the cheeseburger at her out of frustration and it hits her in the face she assumes it's domestic violence and calls 911 and the police show up ready for what they assume is a trailer brawl between the guy and his gf

end result of that incident was they apologized to each other no arrests were made and he willingly slept at his brother's that night to prevent any future problems that night after grabbing a few items he'd need for work the next day as the cop acted as mediator

It's kinda become famous cause the cop jokingly said the only charge he coulda put on the guy was Assault by Cheeseburger and it had onions on the burger which may or may not be considered a lethal weapon in some states
