I understood that it was illegal to offer a discount for taking finance as against paying cash. A double glazing firm has quoted me a price for my windows but has said that they will offer me a lower price for using their finance. Is this ok? I do know that you cannot be offered a better price for cash so does it work the other way round?

While I understand this first answer, my question is purely related to the legality of the offer.

the finance deal will be better for them even i f they have lowered the price because within the deal you will be offered a longer repayment plan with x amount of interest added on so therefore they will make more money
