I have found myself saying the same thing to my daughters and then laughing. Basically, _real_ food before dessert. But I agree that there isn't much real about a mcdonalds burger. So if you don't want to make that rule for a rare afternoon out I agree that is fine. I would mention to your father that you don't mind if he just eats junk for a rare treat. On the other hand, unless your son is getting all torn up about the variation in rules, if your father disagrees I don't think there is any harm. This is one I would be willing to let slide either way in favor of good grandparent relationship. I never thought I would hear myself say, eat a few more fries or no dessert. What an idiotic idea was that... lol

the reason why you cannot find the information from mcd's is simply because mcdonald's food is not very good for you - everything is manufactured purely to taste nice and get you 'hooked' so you buy more - you may as well eat cardboard! Therefore it's not really worth finding an answer to the questionI
sorry just read some of the other replies - do you REALLY believe what you're told?

The stores themselves used to have a pamphlet that listed all of the nutritional values and ingredients to their most popular foods. Go inside one of the restaurants and ask the manager if they still have them.

When you are there the manager is supposed to have cards around with the information printed on them. I think the website also has a PDF version you can download and print if you don't want to leave the house.

If you are going to McDonald's why would you bother with nutritional values? Just have a good time.

he metabolic powers certain foods have to make your body burn more body fat.” It is a way of rating foods, primarily based on “how numerous calories your physique is going to burn just breaking down the nutrients every time you consume a particular meals.”
Therefore, you are not alone in this battle.

If you go into one of their stores and ask for a nutritional guide they should be able to provide you with a pamphlet.
Or go to:
http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.index1.html
It is there...
