do bugs taste like chicken?? if so what do you prefer crispy or slimy....if not what do they taste like? would you recomend them to me???

Now and days everyone is telling you everything tastes like chicken! What for I don't know but seeing is that I am a vegetarian and can't stand chicken I normally wouldn't be much help but my brothers friend went on fear factor and had ate some bugs and said it did give a chicken like texture but not the total flavor of chicken... I just asked him and he prefers crispy.

I remember an old short story that I think was written by Harlan Ellison called "The Other Side of the Village Monster". It was about a scientist who bred giant cockroaches that you could keep in a closet in your home and throw your garbage too, and then when they got big enough you could kill them and eat them. As I remember the people in the story said it tasted like a cross between lobster and chicken. And bugs ARE related to lobsters so who knows... could be! Could call it "City Lobster".

I prefer my bugs to be fried then covered in milk chocolate.
