I started working nights about six weeks ago and had a terrible time trying to sleep during the day. Somebody suggested drinking Camomile tea and now I sleep fine. Give it a go, you never know!

My sleeping patterns have always been messed up - some nights I'll conk right out by 10pm or 11pm and won't wake up until the next day, and sometimes I don't start getting tired until about 3am or 4am, and I rarely get up before noon, but when I do I'm all groggy and cranky, even if I'd gone to sleep at a reasonable hour the night before. On the plus side, I don't have phone calls or unexpected visitors to disrupt my writing.

I am sorry that you are having sleeping probelms. I am glad that I do not have them because I hear that they are hard to solve, but I fall asleep just about when I lay down. If you can not do anything at home I would go buy some Benedryl because that is usually non drowsy and that will make you sleepy, other wise I would go to the doctors office and get something stronger.
Good Luck!

I disagree with cool tale bro, dozing pills are a final hotel. i exploit an alarm clock to wake me up after like 3-5 hours of sleep for some days until im back to norm, and make a unsleeping selection to pass to sleep at around 11. i've got tried staying up long sufficient to fall asleep on the traditional time ( being unsleeping for like 30 hours) and then going to sleep, yet then I awaken at some million pm besides.

You have to look at your lifestyle to determine if there is a reason for your disrupted sleep patterns. Coffee, soda, a late meal could all be culprits. Before you try any prescription remedy, look at your activity level during the day, any stresses you are dealing with and any sudden changes you have experienced lately. Good luck to you.

I fully understand. I'm on a rotational schedule, so as soon as I get used to one sleep pattern, it's time to change again. Just go lay down and read, or just let your mind wander...your mind will take care of the rest.

Yeah I am on a messed up sleeping pattern.
I always seem to end up going to bed late like at midnight. then wake up tired every morning during the 7:00 hour.
