Michigan only lost one game, to the Number 1 team in the country AT Ohio State, by 3 points. Florida is a good team, but lost to LSU. If you compare losses, Michigan is the better team. Strength of Schedule is a stupid arguement, because you have to play the teams in your conference, and the Big Ten is pretty good as well. The truth is that a rematch wasn't a popular choice. The best 2 teams are supposed to play each other, and that didn't happen.

Sorry, Michigan did not get screwed. Michigan's schedule was weaker than Florida's, they beat fewer ranked teams than Florida did (3 to 2), beat more teams with losing records than Florida (5 to 3), beat fewer teams with winning records (7 to 4), and finished second in a conference which had a whole crapload of bad teams (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State, and Purdue) vs. Florida winning both their half of the SEC and the conference championship in the title game, while playing everyone in their conference but the two Mississippi schools. Collectively, no team that Michigan beat has a win over a Top 25 team, either in or out of conference.

If you're going to post a question like this, get your facts straight. Especially this year, the Big Ten is a bad conference. Besides, Florida lost to Auburn, not LSU.

Both Florida and Michigan had close games this year.

Michigan 17 - Penn State 10

Michigan 34 - Ball State 26 (and that was even at home)

If you just look at losses, then yes Michigan should be playing Ohio State. However, it's the wins that count more than the losses. Florida played more ranked opponents, played in a tougher conference (and won that conference by the way, something Michigan can't say), and both teams finished with just one loss. Based on who they beat, Florida wins hands down.

Michigan had their shot at Ohio St. and lost. Maybe it would have been different if they played in Michigan, but they didn't. Michigan didn't get screwed, they played and got beat by Ohio State.

For once the BCS actually got things right.

No and I'm from Michigan, they play one less game and some years that helps them and some years (like this year) it hurts them. had Florida lost their extra game them Michigan would of benefited. Beside do you really want to see another match up between them and Ohio State? I mean when it counted Ohio State won, who ever won 1 1/2 months after the season wouldn't of been the better team.

You are absolutely correct. Michigan got screwed. First of all, Michigan only lost by 3 points to the #1 team in their home stadium. At a neutral field, Michigan may have won that game. The argument that Michigan had thier chance against OSU is completely beside the fact. They HAD to play Ohio State because they were in their conference and only lost by 3 at OSU's home field. Florida had to rely on way too many fluke plays to be the record they are. They had to block a FG to win the game against S. Carolina, a team that went 7-5!! They almost lost to a team that went 7-5!!!! Are you kidding me??? Florida is the worst 12-1 team to ever play!!

The bottom line is that the BCS judges the 2 best teams, and Florida is not the second best team. The only reason they are in it is because Florida won the SEC Champ. this past Saturday, and everyone forgets that Michigan last played 3 weeks ago.

The BCS needs to change to a playoff. I dont care how many teams. Give the teams that got screwed like Boise State, Michigan, USC, and put them all in a playoff to prove the REAL COLLEGE FOOTBALL CHAMPION. College Football is full of a bunch of 'What ifs" and that needs to change NOW.

Even though I don't really care for Michigan, I do think they got screwed. If the Michigan/OSU game was at a neutral field, Michigan probably would have won the game. You are totally correct about the fact that a rematch would is not a popular choice. I feel that it is simply economics. Two Midwest teams from the same conference would not generate as much viewing as one Midwest team against a Florida team. The fact that OSU is playing against Florida says two things: 1) the NCAA is more focused on the financials than the games, and 2) we need playoffs!

no - Michigan screwed themselves by not winning the Big-10 conference. Without the BCS, Ohio St would be playing USC in the Rose Bowl this year regarless of the rankings.

There is no question that Michigan is a better team than Florida. A play off would prove it.

regrettably no, and the following is why: The BCS committee contributors received't relinquish administration. The make vast funds and their faculties get the vast majority of the nationwide spotlight. to bypass to a playoff gadget may mean dropping huge quantities of capacity over who performs who. no longer anybody realizes that even if a crew is ranked huge form 2 interior the BCS poll, it really is accessible (no longer in all likelihood) the the committee ought to vote interior the vast form 3 crew to play for the call, they administration who is going to which bowl and who they play. On suitable of that, the bowl video games may lose their luster and there is a good probability they could lose company sponsorship. with slightly of luck it really is going to ensue, yet I do only not see it interior the close to destiny.

I agree. Their only loss was to the #1 team. And it was by 3 points on their field.

Amen to Slick Hick.....and big blue almost got pinched off by Wisconsin, and had a couple other slow starts and scares..I like the Big 10 too but I think until there's a playoff (which will happen) there's always going to be pissin' & moanin' about the BCS crap.
