we have a new pc lcd tft monitor, ihave pluged it in but we are not gettin any sound ive checked that the volumes (sound) are up and they are do i have to install a driver or is it because the monitor doubles as a tv or am i missing a lead i have only the one lead from the monitor and its the one with 15 pins and screws on to the back of the monitor and computer..please help im @ a loss with computers help me please

A standard computer monitor is video only. There is no sound. Some monitors may have built in speakers but you need to run a separate cable from the sound card to the monitor for them to work.

What is the make and model of your LCD? Usually if a monitor is equiped with speakers there is an audio wire from the monitor that you need to plug into your soundcard. It is a 1/8" wire like a regular pc speaker wire.

you need a lead with a 3.5mm jack plug on each end, one end goes to the monitor (there will be a jack somewhere) and the other end goes to your sound card (the green jack plug) on the computer

no sound are u tryiong to get sound to come from ur monitor speakers just get a audio cable connect it to ur sosund card on ur pc then other end to ur audio port on ur monitor also go to sound devices in ur control panel and set up ur audio settings make sure its on da right sound mode
